This course is available to staff who have previously
undertaken the NHS Fife / UNICEF Breastfeeding Management Course.
Update sessions should be undertaken at least every three
years.
Fife’s Breastfeeding Strategy requires all Acute and Primary
Care staff with a remit to support pregnant and breastfeeding women to
undertake the Breastfeeding Management Primary Course (2 ½ days). This course
will help ensure skills and knowledge remain evidence-based.
Total number of participants – 20 per course
Aims of the course:
- To review and practice the clinical skills necessary to
support women in establishing and maintaining breastfeeding
- To provide an opportunity to identify and discuss current
issues in infant feeding and their implications for practice.
Cost of course:
The course is being provided in-house and there will be no
charge to NHS Fife staff
